Salad Plant

OK, I am little crazy about tabletop today. I found another neat design - Salad Plant serving set by Martin Blum and Dan Black. It is such a beautiful piece no matter when it is not used into the pot or it is served into a salad bowl. Oh, the pot is also serves as a container for salad dressing.
RingRing - magazine rack and Reading Light are also well-thought products from them. Click here to see more their stuff.

Ebe Salad Bowl

All right, say I am obsessed about tabletop - today, but I still like to post this Ebe Salad Bowl by Romain Vauchez for Magppie. The design is just so well-done - the snap-on lid fits tightly: it can be used as a base while serving and the ergonomically designed servers fit within the grooves of the lid for easy transportation. I love it. Many online stores, like Arango, Uncommon Goods, Unica Home carry this product, but it is very pricey. Hey, good design worths the money, right!

more Thoughts for Food

Well, I am not obsessed about tableware design, like bowls, cups. But I have to post this because I found there are some similiarities between "And The Dish Ran Away with The Spoon" by Elan Falvai at Flavour Design and"Bowls and Spoons" by Ineke Hans at RoyalVKB. I don't think they copy each other's design, just using different ways to solve a problem.

360-degree Outlet

A ingeious solution for a problem that almost everyone has encountered. Glad to see a product like this really comes out on the marketing, not a concept anymore. But why we cannot buy it at Lowe's or Homedepot? Check 360 Electrical to find out more.

Heart Phone for Kids

This guy has very good ideas into regular products. I wish I can read Korean, so that I can dig through his/her website and find out more about him/her. I found these two design in his/her portifolio are very smart. By twisting slightly a regular phone into a heart shape, OKids Phone is targeted to kids. The easy transforming heart phone design really differentitate it from the so-call phones for kids. The T-issue box design is also very intuitive, simple, clear and it is definitely approachable. Click here to check on his/her website.

TUBELOR

This is a real good design that really solves the problem we have everyday. The problem is we all use vinyl trash bag lining for easy cleanup. So no matter how pretty the trash cans are, the design are ruined by these sticking out lining. Well, Tubelor solves this problem. Simple solution, simple design but stylish.

Japanese Cell Phone Design

OK, OK. Let's work now. This is my first day's hunting. Actually I found these cell phone trend this morning at work. I think it is very interested. You really can tell the difference between Japanese and American design. These cell phone design are softer, tender, like a lady. Plus all those colors, they really feel like a personal item than just a cell phone. Feel like I am seeing Mary's cell phone, not a cell phone made by Motorola.

Finally I got my Blog

Finally I had my Blog set up. It took me for a while to make such a "tough" decision. I know if I told you I have been so busy to set it up, you must say I am just lazy. So I'd better shut up and start to work on my Blog now.
The reason I would like to have my Blog is because I need to find a better way to save those design stuff I have found. Every time when I found some nice designs on Internet, sometimes I would save them on my computer as my favorites list (at work or at home, and I have to save them in both). Sometimes I would print them out and put them in a folder (and then I lost my folder in the pile when I needed them)... So I think a Blog will be a good way to collect my cool design hunting. It will have the date and my comment for my collect and the most important part is - I can find them anytime I want as long as I have a computer and Internet...Mummm what about if I dont have a computer and internet......oh, no, Anyway, I still think it is a good way to collect my design info. We will see how long I can run this Blog. Maybe a few months later, I will find another better way.....haaaaaaaaaaa
