Sunbeam Stainless Steel Kettle

Sunbeam Austrilia always has some very high-end, stylish design. This diamond-shaped stainless steel kettle with refined, minimalist design gives a high qaulity, modern look through distinctive yet simple form, excellent finish and ergonomics. I especially love the detail design around the lid. Click here for more.

AIAIAI Tracks Leather Headphone

AIAIAI Tracks Leather Headphone, by Kilo Design, is inspired by the function and design of the old iconic walkman headphones. I like this design with Leather finish, but I don't think it goes to production eventually because I only see the simplified version in its website.

Hewi - Modern Integration of Function into Bathroom Design

Designed by NOA with KSP, I really like the integration of function into a very simplicity bathroom design. Love it.

Melitta Stage Coffeemaker

I like this coffeemaker by Melitta. Like how the carafe is integrated into the sweep, falling front housing design. Very simple and elegant. But don't like the switch design, feel like old fashion comparing to the contemporary design.

Function 4 Cooking Ware

Design by NOA, a Germany design firm, WMF Function 4 Cooking Ware is pretty, esepcially the red silicone ring, not only is a central design element, but functional as well. The simplest shape is, the most difficult to design. It is very nice to see a cooking ware designed so refined.

Strolley - Combination of suitcase and stroller

It is a great idea. Traveling with a baby or toddler is a pain. If taking a stroller and a suitcase and a kid, it is just too much to handle, but this concept puts suitcase and stroller into one, freeing me one hand. Also, if my kid doesn't want to sit in stroller, just fold it back to the suitcase. Free to go.

Elegant Shoe Design for women

Piel, by Nicolas Winograd, is a shoe designed for pregnant women. But I think every woman would love to wear it. It looks so comfortable and pretty.

While I am still cheering for Piel, althought it still looks like a concept for me, I found Zig Zag and Corallo by Melissa + Camapana. Zig Zag is inspired by hand-built the ad-hoc construction of "Favela Chair" and Corallo is inspired by Corallo chaire's irregular woven form. All these shoe design are similar. However, the mass production from Melissa + Camapana looks so plastic and feels cheap, while the conceptual rendering of Piel looks so attractive and comfortable. Once again, a design world is different than a real world.

Mo:Ben Lunch Box

Mo:Ben, a lunch box designed by Alex Cheong, is able to warm up the meal through an internal film heater. I am not very impressed by the warming feature because film heating is long heating process. I prefer it is just a cooler, keep food inside cool or warm for what it is. But I really like the overal design. It is a very well though design with all the details. Like the handle design integrates with the overall form and the color accent. May suggest fork and spoon snaped on the lid instead of on the additional plate. Via Yanko Design

Paralda HEPA Air Purifier

Allen's new Paralda Air Purifier is a nice attractive design. Loves the inner core of "bambook green" with a translucent shell surrounding it. It gives a fresh breathing feeling, not like a traditional air purifiers with white and black and silver appliances look.

BookShelf Chair and Scroll Table by Nobody & Co

Bibliochaise, a chair with bookshelf, designed by Nobody & Co., is such a neat product. I think book lovers would appreciate this idea.

The Scroll Table is more an ideal product than the BookShelf Chair. Allow to changing different modifs on a table surface is not necessary, it is more user's emotional need.
